Signs to watch for
- Vomiting and poor appetite
- Marked thirst and urination
- Weakness as calcium rises and kidneys fail
What to do
Call us immediately with the bottle: strength and count matter. High-dose vitamin D destroys kidneys and treatment works best before signs start.
Macau note
Gummy and softgel vitamins taste like treats and dogs eat whole bottles. Some rodenticides use the same toxin at higher strength.
