With more than 23 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ruan founded Royal Veterinary Center to bring world-class, compassionate care to Macau. Known affectionately as The Flying Vet, he pairs deep expertise in small animal medicine, exotic pet care, and emergency medicine with a genuine devotion to every patient. As a Royal Canin Scientific Advisor, he keeps the clinic grounded in evidence-based nutrition and veterinary best practice. He consults comfortably in both English and Afrikaans, so families always feel understood.

Senior Veterinarian

Dr. Emily is a valued senior member of our veterinary team, with a clinical focus spanning surgery, orthopaedics, and internal medicine. She brings a calm, methodical hand to complex cases, from delicate orthopaedic repairs to intricate soft tissue procedures. Fluent in both Chinese and English, she takes the time to ensure every owner clearly understands their pet's diagnosis and treatment plan.

Veterinarian

Dr. Eduardo is passionate about keeping pets healthy for the long run, with a clinical focus on preventive medicine, dental care, and feline medicine. He believes the best outcomes begin with prevention, and he is especially attuned to the quiet needs of cats and the importance of good oral health. Speaking Portuguese, English, and Chinese, he connects easily with Macau's diverse pet families and helps every owner feel at ease.

Veterinarian

Dr. Fatima cares for the companions many clinics are not equipped to treat, with a clinical focus on avian medicine, exotic pets, and radiology. From birds and reptiles to the more unusual pets Macau families welcome home, she provides attentive, species-appropriate care supported by diagnostic imaging. Fluent in Chinese, English, and Portuguese, she helps owners of even the most exotic pets feel understood and supported.
