  • Vomiting
  • Wobbliness or tremors with large salt doses

What to do

Offer fresh water and call us if a large amount was eaten or if your pet seems unsteady. Small pets and cats are most at risk from salt.

Macau note

A staple of Cantonese kitchens, salted fish is extremely high in sodium. Bones are an added hazard for cats who steal it.
