Signs to watch for
- Vomiting or diarrhoea
- Lethargy
- Neurological signs in cats fed raw seafood long term
What to do
A single raw piece usually causes only stomach upset; monitor and call us if signs persist. Do not feed raw seafood regularly.
Macau note
Raw seafood carries bacteria and thiaminase, which destroys vitamin B1 in cats over time. Cooked, plain seafood is far safer.
