Signs to watch for
- Vomiting
- Poor appetite
- Straining or belly pain if pits block the gut
What to do
A little ripe flesh is low risk. Call us if pits were swallowed or if several unripe fruits were eaten, and monitor appetite closely.
Macau note
Summer fruit boxes are everywhere in Macau. The smooth pits slide down easily and can block small intestines; unripe flesh also carries toxins.
