What to do
Call us the same day if a cob or a large piece was swallowed. Cobs do not digest and are a classic cause of gut blockage needing surgery.
Macau note
BBQ corn from street stalls and picnic leftovers are the usual source. Corn kernels themselves are safe in small amounts.
