What to do

For cats treat any exposure as an emergency: wash paws and fur with mild dish soap and come in. For dogs, rinse and call us.

Macau note

Cats cannot metabolise phenols. If the mop water turns cloudy white, it is unsafe for cat households; choose a pet-safe disinfectant instead.
